President and CEO
Karl Koenig has over 30 years experience in the engineering and construction enterprise information systems industry, covering tenures at both System 5 and Penta Technologies. Karl has served as President of Penta Technologies since its inception in 1991, and he previously served as President of System 5.
Karl is the founder and President of Penta Technologies, a post he has held since 1991. While President of Penta Technologies, Karl has helped the company grow into one of North America’s leading vendors of enterprise software to the engineering and construction industries.
Director of Account Management and Demand Generation
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in strategy development, program implementation, and team building. He thrives on the creation and implementation of new and innovative concepts to move organizations forward. Prior to joining Penta Technologies, Steve was the president of the Notre Dame School of Milwaukee and held several director-level positions at Brady Corporation, as well as several non-profit leadership positions. Steve has an executive M.B.A. and a B.B.A. in Marketing.
Steve leads the Account Management and Demand Generation teams. As a Strategic Account Manager, he maintains and expands the relationships we have with our customers. Steve represents our entire range of Penta products and services to customers and leads business strategy to ensure that our customer's needs and expectations are surpassed by Penta on a continual basis.
Vice President of Customer Experience
Laura has over 18 years’ experience as an innovative technology leader who’s passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences through the power of relationships. Prior to joining Penta Technologies, Laura was the founder and CEO of Epiphany Learning, the CEO of TEKLYNX Americas, Inc., and the global IT manager of Brady Corporation. Throughout her career, she has managed large-scale technology implementations and projects with cross-functional teams, created and executed business, marketing and product strategies that drove double-digit top and bottom-line growth, and built values-oriented team cultures that fostered creativity and yielded high productivity. Laura has a B.S. in computer science, and has received the SBA Emerging Leadership award, the Rising Star Award by The Executive Committee – Milwaukee, and has been named a Woman of Influence by Milwaukee Business Journal.
Laura is responsible for delivering one-of-a-kind experiences to PENTA customers by leveraging the company’s culture, people and processes. She aims to ensure that Penta Technologies’ customer experience is recognized by the market as a distinctive differentiator.
Director of Learning, PENTA Academy
Andy has over 17 years’ experience in both Construction and Construction technology. Andy is passionate about continuous learning and leveraging best practices for training and knowledge transfer that drive business efficiencies. Prior to joining Penta Technologies, Andy worked for various Electrical Contractors as a member of IBEW 494 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee as well as a degree in Electrical Construction. He is also a member of the Association for Talent Development where he collaborates with industry peers on best-in-class learning and development methodologies.
Andy is responsible for the PENTA Academy where he drives continuous learning for the PENTA ERP user community via various training mechanisms, as well as bringing users together to tackle tough business challenges.
Vice President of Product & Marketing
Bill Wagner is an experienced marketing professional and thought leader who is passionate about using marketing to drive growth and create great experiences for customers. He has a long track record of successfully generating growth for businesses by applying cutting-edge best practices from the worlds of business, science, marketing and economics in a way that scales into all companies, both large and small. Bill has experience working with start-ups, mid-size, and Fortune Global 500 firms including ABB, Badger Meter, Direct Supply and ARI Network Services. His areas of expertise include: product portfolio management, strategic planning, corporate and competitive research, communications strategy, advertising, public relations, brand platform development, data science and e-business.
Bill is also the President of the Milwaukee Chapter of the American Marketing Association and is a sought-after speaker on the topics of digital disruption, business strategy and the impact of digital experiences on the customer journey. He has recently informed audiences as a featured presenter to the Equipment Dealers Association, American Marketing Association, the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas, and at GreenExpo.
Bill is responsible for strategic leadership of Penta’s software products portfolio by focusing on developing solutions that meet the unique needs of key stakeholders at labor-intensive specialty contracting firms across multiple markets.
