Karl Koenig

President and CEO

Karl Koenig has over 30 years experience in the engineering and construction enterprise information systems industry, covering tenures at both System 5 and Penta Technologies. Karl has served as President of Penta Technologies since its inception in 1991, and he previously served as President of System 5.

Karl is the founder and President of Penta Technologies, a post he has held since 1991. While President of Penta Technologies, Karl has helped the company grow into one of North America’s leading vendors of enterprise software to the engineering and construction industries.
 

Kurt Koenig

Vice President of Product Management

Kurt Koenig has nearly 30 years experience in the engineering and construction enterprise information systems industry, covering tenures at both System 5 and Penta Technologies.

Kurt is the co-founder and Vice President of Penta Technologies, a post he has held since 1991. In his tenure at Penta Technologies, Kurt has managed Sales and Marketing, Client Services, Product Development, Product Management, and has had direct involvement in executive-level customer relationships.

Dick Cotter

Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Dick has over 30 years of sales and management experience with a proven track record of orchestrating profitable revenue growth in the enterprise software industry. He is responsible for accelerating customer and revenue growth to further Penta Technologies’ leadership position in the engineering and construction management software market.

Dick’s work draws on his real life experience in sales leadership positions and best practices of some outstanding organizations such as J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, Platinum Technology, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Computer Associates.

Brad Blaney

Vice President of Technology

Brad has a strong leadership background in the software industry including experience in the rigorous healthcare and financial services industries. He has led teams that produced high quality software in a predictable manner for both internal and external customers and has direct experience with web, rich client, mobile and SaaS applications.  Agile methods and practices have been a big part of Brad’s career since 1999.  He has lead agile transformations in each of his previous positions.  Most recently he led a major process improvement initiative at FIS.   Prior to his career in technology Brad spent six years in the construction industry in sales and project management roles.

Cameron Smith

Vice President of Professional Services

Cam’s broad operations, technology and industry experience give him a unique ability to understand business problems that construction enterprises face.
He has also served as Chief Technology Officer at Penta Technologies and in senior-level operations and development roles at CMIC, Tririga, Meridian Project Systems and Sony Electronic Publishing Company. Cam received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne and has overseen technology stacks including Oracle, J2EE, Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, and PowerBuilder.
